Frostwire and skype question

Ok i really like pinguy os 12.04 it looks good feels good but im having 2 problem and im hoping somebody could help me here?

1-I install frostwire from software center and from there web site and im still having the same problem it install no problem but when i go to start it the mouse cursor act busy for a few seconds but nothing frostwire wont open i rebooted same thing i unninstalled it reinstall same thing what can i do to get this working?

2-I tried to remove skype to install the newer version but the old skype wont unninstall i tried apt-get remove , purge and still there?

so if anybody could help me it would be much appreciated thanks in advance..
