So had to roll back PinguyOS 18.04 to an earlier snapshot and re-do it. There was a pretty bad bug that some apps when clicking a button would lock up the whole system.
This was all due to using gnome-session. Purging gnome-session and re-installing ubuntu-session does not fix it. I had to roll back to an earlier version where it hasn’t ever been installed.
First noticed the bug with VirtualBox. When selecting ‘Shared Folders’ and picking a folder it would cause the whole system to freeze and you would have to hard reset.
Also noticed it happened in PCSX2
Apart from reverting gnome-session back to ubuntu-session this is the same as the Beta2.
Also when clicking the ‘Install’ button there will be a slight delay. This is because it is refreshing the sources.list before launching Ubiquity. You may also have to run ‘sudo apt update’ once PinguyOS is installed before you will be able to install any packages or you could just wait as Mintupdate will refresh the sources at some point.
