I've just switched to Pinguy today. Install was easy generally successful. The only problem I have is I can't get Vuze (downloaded through Synaptic Package Manager) to work properly. It opens OK and if I find the address for torrents and paste them in they open successfully, but Vuze crashes if I use it's search function. Next time I open it there is a message stating that Vuze didn't shut down tidily.
I had a look online and learned that there are sometimes conflicts with later versions of Firefox (FF4 and beyond). If I understood correctly, Firefox uses XULRunner 2.0 and Vuze uses XULRunner1.9.2.
I thought I could download XULRunner192 via Synaptic but it appears to be no longer supported. I lack the knowledge to know how to download and install XULRunner manually.
I uninstalled Firefox, using Synaptic, and installed Opera instead, but the problem remains.
I am a newbie but happy to do the work and read around if someone points me in the right direction. Also happy to post error logs etc if that helps.
