Hi guys,
I have been running Pinguy 12 LTS for a week or so & it works great. I wanted to have my HOME on a separate partition so I did a new install. All went fine until I again updated my Nvidia driver to the recommended 319. On rebooting the screen suddenly went to a black 'Ubuntu' log on screen like Terminal. I did the usual username & password but it just refreshed to the Terminal prompt. No idea what I needed to enter. I tried Esc & nothing. I rebooted & tried to repair via Dpkg but it still did it. I had to do a full install again Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.
All works ok using the older 304 driver but I haven't got the screen res options I need. Any suggestions as what to do if I try 319 again & get the same screen? Do NOT want to install again.
Uzi.
