Hi everyone,
I am new to PinguyOS and to Linux, in general - trying to make the leap from Windows. I have an older machine - Compaq Presario 5425 and the only OS I have installed on it is Ubuntu 9.10. I was able to install that from the bootable CD. I want to install PinguyOS but it doesn't seem to want to install from the Live CD I created. The CD drive with the PinguyOS disk keeps opening when I try to boot from it and then goes to Ubuntu 9.10. I have tried to get it to boot from the CD and DVD drives but so far no luck. I had no problems when installing the Ubuntu CD but now want PinguyOS instead. I want to do a complete clean install. Is there some trick in Linux I need to do to get the PinguyOS to install? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Peace,
Jeff
