I thought I'd start a new thread here.
I've taken a risk, not much of a risk actually, and upgraded this Pinguy OS to Trusty Tahr. I changed the repos from Saucy to Trusty in the /etc/apt/sources.list and unclicked the ppas in sources.list.d and updated and upgraded it. If you want to experiment, don't dist-upgrade, for anything can happen, as Trusty is not yet even in Beta. Also, Antoni had tweaked the Gnome 3.10--the Gnome Extensions don't have anything there--you'd like to keep the work of Antoni intact. Mind you, this is for the experimentalists, not for those, who want a stable installation.
Pinguy OS is done so well, the change had gone smoothly. It gets updated and upgraded everyday, and so far no hiccups. I have an Ubuntu Trusty installation too, so I can check for any problems.
Happy experimenting!
I am awaiting the next Pinguy OS anyway.![Biggrin Biggrin]()
Take care!
