Error mounting /dev/sda

I have a 3tb ext4 installed. I rebooted & now I can't mount it. I use it as a storage only HDD. It's not a old HDD. I'm using GParted/GPart to try to recover partition. Is that the best thing to do, & how long should that take?

Here's the error I'm getting.

Error mounting /dev/sda at /media/michael/3 TB: Command-line `mount -t "ext4" -o "uhelper=udisks2,nodev,nosuid" "/dev/sda" "/media/michael/3 TB"' exited with non-zero exit status 32: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so
Any help would be profusely appreciated!
