It seems that this bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sourc...ug/1156927 attacked me after I accidentally and sleepily typed 'sudo apt-get upgrade' (instead of update) into my terminal.
sudo gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders > /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache didn't do me much good as the output was:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache: Permission denied
I did a bit of searching for a solution, but in the end it had to be a re-installation. No harm done, I didn't lose any files of my own, but am I the only one this happened to? Did anybody else try to upgrade, and what happened?
Other than that it's my impression that 13.10 beta3 is way more stable than 13.04, and I really look forward to playing around with it - but for now I'm a bit wary of doing an upgrade...
