After installation, computer will no longer turn on!

Hello all,

A new user to both pinguy and Linux in general.

I just installed pinguy onto an old laptop, which was running Windows Vista. The installation went fine, until prompted to reboot at the end. The machine will now not turn on at all!

I have included a video to better show you what is going on. (sorry for it being upside down) Is the laptop destined for the scrap heap now? It had been working 'ok', but it is certainly surplus to requirements.
