Loss of docky etc

It may well be that this has been asked before, but can not find, and yes I probably did something wrong, so here goś

I have lost Docky from my screen

Also lost the panel (sorry don´t know its name) that sits of left of screen

Have an icon for Clementine on top panel, I did not put it there.

Only thing I have done prior to the above was install latest updates.

Know I´m a chump, but any help would be appreciated

Can I add, that just find some other responses to the same problem, none of which work

i.e. via terminal, via synaptic and restarting computer.
