Hi,
Plan to get a netbook and to install on it PinguyOS 14.04 Mini. Had excellent experience with 11.04, but later couldn't stand the G3, and had to move away from Gnome. Kubuntu 12.04 was an excellent alternative, and I still run it on my main laptop. Now, tested live PinguyOS 14.04 Mini and was surprised to see Jupiter can still be installed (keep it so, this app is so important!), that GS become much flexible, and OS runs very cold (38~40°C when idle, and max. 50°C in 720p full screen youtube - HP, G6, i3-2350M @21°C/70F room temperature). Thought only Kubuntu 12.04 could do so (now, K14.04 does the opposite). Well, this brings me back, for my planed netbook, to PinguyOS: Mini - I like it so much!
There's still a single issue I would ask help with:
- Is it possible to see the hardware temperatures in the main panel? This is very important to me, not the system or the the network charge (don't care about charges, have enough resources). Temperature cares, and wish to see it permanently, in the panel (instead of opening an app to follow its evolution). Is it possible?
Thanks,
