Excessive internet activity.

When my computer 14.04.2 is sitting and doing nothing there is a constant up and download activity. As much as 800B

I've neutered variety so it doesn't access the net for anything.

I've changed the update manager from once every15 minutes to once every 12 hours.

I don't have email running.

Now I am looking for where I can change the frequency that the Conky makes internet connections but am having trouble finding it.

Is there anything else I haven't thought of that is making constant access?
