Ok I will start this by saying that I am pretty new to the Linux scene and are trying out a few different Disto's. I have tried quite a few of the main ones including Fedora, SuperX, Ubuntu, OpenSuse, Zorin9 and currently using Linux Mint (Debian version), I have tried this Pinguy OS via the live desktop and really like it so far however I have one major problem. Installation trouble. It runs fine in Live mode on my desktop and laptop however when I install to the hard drive using the live mode app I go through set everything up like it is supposed to (at least that I can figure out) and it goes through the whole installation process until right at the end after it has installed the files it pops up the following text
"the 'GRUB PC' package failed to install into /target/ without the GRUB boot loader the installed system will not boot"
I tried after the system after this message and yes the password for anything would not be recognized both while in the system and also after rebooting. I have tried installing the files directly from the website and also from Distrowatch using the 64 bit version and have tried installing on a USB thumb drive and also burnt the iso onto a DVD and tried that to no avail. This is the only distro I have run into this problem and for the life of me I cannot find any info on how to fix this. Could someone please shed some light as to what I am doing wrong or missing as I really want to use this as my day to day distro. And just to clarify that this happens on two completely different computers. Thanks for your help.
