I know the following question has been raised before, but I don't seem to be able to find a clear, precise answer to it.
In the original remastersys code, creating a "Backup" with an existing user produced an ISO with an "install" option in the grub menu. Those original forks no longer work with Ubuntu 16.04LTS, but PinguyBuilder does (great!).
However, PinguyBuilder has removed the "install" option from the grub menu. It's possible to "force" it by editing the appropriate file (/etc/PinguyBuilder/isolinux/isolinux.cfg.vesamenu), but when I do this and create an ISO with "Backup", the installer starts OK but eventually fails out with an error.
I gather from other threads that this option was removed on purpose specifically because of this, but I was hoping someone could tell me (1) what exactly is causing the installer to fail in this manner, and (2) whether there is a planned fix, or if there is something fundamental that has changed that will prevent this method of installation indefinitely.
Thanks!
