Pinguy 13.10 bugs and unstable

Hi,
i just found about this OS last week and i am very interested on it.
the problem is that on 3 diferent PC i tryed i always find it very instable and kind of having bugs...
i have a new machine running it now and any change i make to the tweek tools of gnome are not saved, each time i reboot i loose any changes.
also unetbootin and yumi dont work properly.
just to bad becouse this seams a very promessing distribution...
any ideas?
