Starbound fullscreen blackout

Hello people!

I am loving Pinguy OS so far, but I have a minor issue: I started playing Starbound (lovely game by the way), and when I put it in fullscreen, the screen completely blacks out. I can still Alt Tab but it will not show me anything else, and I seem to be at a loss.
