BACKGROUND INFO
v. PinguyOS 13.10 Beta 3
LAN Adapter: Qualcomm Atheros AR8161 Gigabit Ethernet (rev 10) - Onboard
WiFi Adapter: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 - PCI-E / System Info Reports as Qualcomm Atheros AR93xx Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)
----
I am successfully connected to my LAN via the onboard atheros adapter. This is eth0 where I am sending/receiving all of my internet activity. Via PinguyOS's Settings/Network interface, I have enabled the Wi-Fi Hotspot option to enable sharing of my LAN connection. It set up with no issues and is functioning properly, with no extra settings or configurations needed! I must say I am very impressed and pleased!
TOPIC/THREAD QUESTION
1) After rebooting the desktop, it seems that my wifi devices are not able to reach the wifi hotspot. When going into the settings section the hotspot option still shows enabled, however only after toggling on/off are my devices able to see it again. Any thoughts?
2) Are there any utilities or stats tools that I can find/use to display information about the hotspot? Currently all I can see is that it's enabled and the security key that's set. (eg. I'd like to see how many devices are connected to it, and/or the amount of traffic being sent). Any thoughts?
As always, thanks!
