4gb Limit

Just tried to use piguybuilder and it failed at the end saying that the image was too large.

With ISO level 3, no restrictions (other than ISO-9660:198Cool apply. Starting
with this level, genisoimage also allows files to be larger than 4 GB by
implementing ISO-9660 multi-extent files.

So genisomage supports > 4GB images using iso level 3 so why fail the build?

Can't boot live DVD

I just tried to boot the PinguyBuilder created "liveCD",

I got two nasty-grams:

usb 3-1: device descriptor read/all, error -71

(initramfs) /cow format specified as aufs and no support found

Boot was stalled at this point Sad

Running on Ubuntu 16.04 with kernel 4.8.13, casper 1.376.2

Critical files deleted by builder

Help

PinguyBuilder appears to thave deleted:

/etc/apt/sources.list.d
/etc/apt/sources.list
/etc/apt/preferences.d

almost everything from the /etc/apt directory.

I think I can recover them from snapshots, but isn't it a bit antisocial to delete these.

Is there anything else I might need to recover?

2 issues with PinguyBuilder

Hello and merry Christmas. ^^

I have two issues with PinguyBuilder.

The first one is:
I create a dist-iso, boot from usb stick, but there is no install icon on my desktop. Instead PinguyBuilder created a new folder in my /home/ named "Desktop". When I open that folder there is the installer.
Instead of putting the installer into a new folder, the installer has to be in /home/Schreibtisch/ to be shown on my Desktop. How can I do that?

The second one is:
I name my iso "Custom Iso" for example. Or "Linux Iso".
No matter what name it has, PinguyBuilder installer is always shown as "Custom Iso 16.04" or "Linux Iso 16.04". How can I remove "16.04"?

by creating a dist with Xubuntu 16.04 with the user settings in order to have a customized dist, in the file /etc/default/grub the line from the original version

GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0

is changed to
#GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0

So we can get rid of the commentary # afterward

(The same thing happened when I did a back up)

ISO Creation Failing

Hi,

I am using the latest version of Pinguy Builder on Debian Jessie. I can do a back up or cdfs distro and it works, however the creation of the iso image fails. The error is etc/lsb-release no such file or directory, and then process is interrupted. I made a blank file with that name and now it doesn't complain about the missing file, but still faults on iso creation. What specifically is in that file, and how do I fix it?
