Hey guys some of you know, I do a lot of posting over on PinguyOs Google Plus page. From time to time I ask questions here so the answers will be PinguyOs Branded and also connected to the forums here. I have no Programming skills so it’s my way of giving back.
I am looking for your insight and information so please do share in detail.

We all know that new Linux Kernels are being released all the time and users will update their Linux Kernels for many different reasons Such as:

New Kernel Abilities / Functions

New Drivers / Increased Stability

Improved Security / Improved Kernel Speeds

Ubuntu users upgrading their Kernels seemingly having no issues, and of course PinguyOs 14.04 PaperCuts is based on Ubuntu.

The Issue:
PinguyOs 14.04 PaperCuts comes with a lot of customized tweaks and Performance enhancements along with stability tweaks that gives the PinguyOs users that great “Works Right out the Box” experience.

Which leads me to these questions that I would like to know for myself and incase if someone ever asks me, I am fully aware that some of the answers cannot be known until you try the kernel update and see what happens I am hoping that some of you have already tried this and will share your experience along with your best practice concerning this topic.

Please do add any extra concerns or thoughts and do so as if your speaking to a brand new user Thank you Smile
